I only have Medicare which only covers 80%. External counterpulsation is a total of 1 hour a day for 35 days. Costing approx. 2000.00 a day so my part is going to be about 14,000.00 to 15,000.00. My husband was laid-off his job 11/2 years ago after 37 years with the same company. We lost are insurance and 1700.00 in income.

I have had 2 open heart surgeries in the last 13 years and now after 6 years my heart is bad again, I cannot have anymore bypass procedures and I am not a good candidate for a transplant. This is the only thing they think may help me.

I am only 51 years old and I am not ready to die yet. I take all their medications and try to stay as active as I can. I have a 15 month old grandson name Brody who is the light of my life. I want to live long enough to spend alot more time with him.

The External Counterpulsation is large blood preeure cuffs that go up and down my legs and hips and pulsate with the hopes of opening my arteries to allow more blood flow.
